Policies at Taybuwtah

School Policy

​

  • No form of bullying ie; emotional, verbal, cyber, or physical is allowed in and out of school premises. 

  • Fighting is strongly prohibited in and out of school.  

  • Students must wear the correct school uniform, clearly displaying the appropriate school badge. 

  • Using inappropriate or abusive language on fellow students or teachers will not be condoned for any reason. No disrespect towards any teacher in and out of school premises is allowed. 

  • The use of personal phones and all forms of electronic gadgets is prohibited. All phones must be handed to the homeroom teacher and collected after school or left at home. 

  • Knives and all other forms of weapons are prohibited on school premises. Any student found with any form of weapon will be handed over to the police. 

  • Smoking and all fire-igniting products are not allowed on school premises. 

  • Alcohol, illicit drugs, and all forms of intoxicating products are forbidden. 

  • We operate a cashless policy in school. If students need cash for any reason, parents must indicate the reason and must hand cash in at the bursary for later handover to the student. 

  • Students are not allowed any form of mufti including hats or face caps, unless on mufti days authorised by the school principal. 

  • No form of makeup should be worn on school premises. Makeup products are not allowed on school premises. Any student seen outside the school premises wearing makeup and on school uniform will face disciplinary action.

  • Tiny stud earrings are the only earrings allowed for female students only. Dangling,  loop earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings are not allowed unless medical bangles are accompanied by a signed and stamped doctor’s prescription. Earrings are not allowed on male students. And male students are not allowed to braid or carry long hair unless natural dreadlocks, which should be neatly packed. 

  • Parents should notify the school of all student’s prescription medications and inhalers. All medications must be handed over to the school nurse only.

  • All school uniforms must be the right colour including black belts,  black shoes, and white socks only. 

  • All forms of stealing are forbidden. Hand over all lost and found items to members of staff immediately. 

  • Failure to adhere to these rules and regulations will attract disciplinary action.

Parents Policy

  • Parents must make sure that their child/children have all they need for daily use at school. 

  • Parent must make sure that their child dresses appropriately for school. 

  • Parents must provide two authorised adults’ names for pick up and drop off. 

  • Do not hand cash to your child as we operate a no cash policy. If you must, kindly hand it to the bursary who will hand it to the child/children end of school hours. 

  • No parent is allowed to give money to a teacher in or even outside school. 

  • Parents must endeavour to attend all PTA meetings. 

  • At no point should a parent confront, abuse, or engage in fighting with any teacher or member of staff. All matters should be brought to the head of the school to be handled appropriately.

  • Parents must make sure that school fees are paid before the second month of the school term. Installment payments may be arranged in agreement with the school accounts team.
